Emily Ives, Political Reporter
Emily is a senior at Florida Atlantic University majoring in multimedia journalism with minors in political science and film and video. Her roots in poetry, creative writing, and photography founded her interest in storytelling. Through producing a short film and shadowing the U.S. ambassador to combat global antisemitism, Yehuda Kaploun, she developed an understanding of the importance of human rights centered truth based stories and how they can be told powerfully through visual and digital reporting. Through her work with University Press, Emily integrates creativity and ethical journalism to produce impactful stories.
