Netflix has been releasing multiple original movies and shows that have produced great results lately, and one such film is the romantic “Irreplaceable You” that will leave viewers crying all night.

“Irreplaceable You” is about the relationship between a woman named Abbie (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) and her fiancé Sam (Michiel Huisman). First meeting at an aquarium when they were children, the two fell in love and have been together ever since. Not only are they romantic partners, but they are also best friends who tell each other everything. Filled with nerdy conversations, quirkiness, and humor, it’s hard not to fall in love with this charming and incredibly cute couple who seem as if they are a match made in heaven.

Unfortunately, things take a turn for the worse when Abbie finds out that she has terminal Stage 4 cancer, and the couple is plunged into hardships and challenges as they face this devastating situation.

Abbie develops an unhealthy coping mechanism, much to the chagrin of Sam, where she spends months filling out an online profile on a dating app and desperately trying to find him a new girlfriend to be with after she passes away.

Abbie is a charming, stubborn and strong willed woman who always look ahead in the future and will do anything to make sure that Sam is happy and feels loved after she dies.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw plays the role of Abbie extremely well, given how she makes the viewers feel her pain after finding out that she has cancer. Mbatha-Raw is known for acting in other popular movies such as “Beyond the Lights,” “A Wrinkle in Time,” and the live action “Beauty and the Beast.”

Sam is a neurobiologist teacher who also happens to be good-looking, extremely nerdy, and charismatic. Michiel Huisman plays the character of Sam well since he has different methods of coping with this tragedy that make the viewers understand him and connect to his emotions. Huisman is known for his roles as Daario in the “Game of Thrones” and as Ellis in “The Age of Adaline.”

“Irreplaceable You” is a beautiful, romantic, tear-jerking movie that will make the viewers fall in love with the couple and feel shock, anger, and hurt over the situation they have to go through. Similar to the award winning Nicholas Sparks movies “A Walk to Remember” and “The Notebook,” anyone who dares to watch this movie should prepare to cry.
