Areas on the Boca Raton, Davie, and Jupiter campuses to relax and socialize

While you wander your new home, you might see students studying in Starbucks, or laughing with friends at a table surrounded by trees. You may wonder where the best places are on campus to hang out. Here’s a look at the hotspots on the Boca Raton, Davie, and Jupiter campuses.

Hot Spot: Student Union

The Student Union is a great place to visit on the Boca campus. There you can play ping pong, show off your skills in a game of pool, or challenge your friends to a match of Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

After competing with all your friends and meeting new competition, you may want to grab a bite to eat. The Burrow Bar and Grill is a great place to get some food to fill up a champion’s belly. The restaurant is connected to the Student Union.

Low-Key Area: Roof Garden

If you’re looking for somewhere peaceful and quiet, you should check out the fourth floor of the Engineering building. Here you’ll see a beautiful garden and a fantastic view of the campus. This is a great place to share a cute moment on a date, bring a book to read, or embrace your inner artist by scribbling in a notebook.

Hot Spot: Steve’s Espresso Cafe

Inside of the Davie campus’ Student Union, you’ll find a nice place to hang out and drink coffee in Steve’s Espresso Cafe. This is a great place for students who want to chat with a friend, get some food, or watch fellow students try to eat a huge sandwich filled with several layers of meat and cheese called the Stevenormous. Students get 30 minutes to finish the sandwich and can win a free t-shirt and get their picture on Steve’s Wall of Fame.

Low-Key Area: Tables and Trees

Just outside of the Student Union, you’ll find a relaxing spot to get work done on your laptop or talk to a friend. Tables and trees with pink flowers wait outside for students looking for some fresh air. It’s also an excellent place to find inspiration for your latest project. Regardless of what you decide to do, this is a great place for a student looking for a stress-free zone.

Hot Spot: Student Resources & Classroom Building

Similar to a Student Union, you can go to the Student Resources & Classroom Building if you’re looking for a place to spend time with friends or go solo and unwind on the couches. When you walk into the building you’ll see a staircase in the middle of the room surrounded by couches, a television and posters up on one of the walls of kids standing in water. If you’re wondering where events are held on the Jupiter campus, this is your place.

Low-Key Area: Gazebo

When looking for somewhere to kick back and chill, sit and take in nature, you can go to the Gazebo. Surrounded by parkland, this is a great place to escape from the stress of school work. All you need to do is bring a book or some paper to get creative, or you could bring your homework or your laptop if you want to get work done in a nice atmosphere. And if you don’t want to bring anything, this spot is also perfect for you because you can go here to simply daydream.
