The new schedule says the Boca campus Student Union will be open Dec. 12-16, from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. It will be closed to events during these days, meaning “the Event Planning Office does not schedule events for student organizations,” according to Student Union Director, Larry Faerman.
The building will be closed for the weekend of Dec. 17-18 and will reopen Dec. 19-23 from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm.
It will then be closed from Dec. 24 to Jan. 2 for the holidays and will reopen Jan. 3-4 from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
According to Faerman, there’s a reason for the early closing time over the break.
“At the time hours were established, there was a Transfer Orientation scheduled for January which would have run past 5:30,” he said. “This has since been cancelled, but we chose not to amend the schedule.”
Regular hours will resume Jan. 5, 2012.
