Police investigating theft of UP issues

On Tuesday and Wednesday, more than 10 of the UP newspaper bins were emptied, and 900 copies or more of the “Dangerous Games” issue, featuring an investigation about hazing among FAU’s fraternities, were thrown away.

The UP has contacted the FAU Police Department about the theft, and the police said they are investigating. Although the UP is distributed for free, removing all of the issues from the racks is actually a crime, according to the Student Press Law Center’s Web site: www.splc.org/newspapertheft.asp.

If you want a copy of this issue to read, we have plenty in the UP newsroom. Please stop by Room 214 in the Student Union on the Boca campus to pick one up.
