Beau Bristow performs at FAU Jupiter’s Java and Jams Concert Series

FAU’s Jupiter campus had another musical interlude this week, as Tennessee artist Beau Bristow became the latest artist to perform in the monthly Java and Jams Concert Series. Armed with an acoustic guitar, a custom pedal board and a soulful coffeehouse style, Bristow managed to earn quite a few new female fans.

“It was a really good performance.” said junior Kristina Klaas, an international studies major, of the Feb. 18 show.

The most impressive aspect of Bristow’s style was his use of the “looper,” a device that allows him to play back previous portions of his performance in order to create complex musical compositions that would otherwise be impossible to perform solo. This gave his music a layered effect, as he adds each track to the loop in real time.

Beau Bristow’s latest album, Standing. Still., is available on iTunes or at www.beaubristow.com.
