Temporary Parking Arrangements on Boca Campus

Because of the record number of people on the Boca Raton campus this fall and the loss of a large number of parking spaces due to construction, Parking and Transportation Services will temporarily allow vehicles to park on the grass in the following areas:

East side of Palm Beach Avenue (across from Lot 5)
East side of Palm Beach Avenue (across from Lot 23)
East side of St. Lucie Avenue South (across from Lot 1)
SE access road to Lot 10
Inside Perimeter of Lot 11

A large temporary grass lot is also being opened across from Parking Garage 2 and east of Lot 1. This lot can be accessed from St. Lucie Avenue South.

For your safety and to use the space most efficiently, we ask that you park your vehicle head-in, at a 90-degree angle to the road. When parking your vehicle, please make sure that you have completely pulled off the roadway. Parallel parking and backing into parking spaces on the grass will not be allowed.

Please note that parking on the grass is permitted ONLY in the areas listed above. Vehicles parked on the grass in other areas of campus and vehicles that are parallel parked or backed into a parking space are subject to violation citations.

Parking and Transportation Services thanks you for your understanding and cooperation as we work together through this exciting time of growth and expansion at FAU. The parking situation will be relieved substantially upon completion of the new temporary parking lot on the south side of campus.

This message has been distributed on behalf of the department of Parking and Transportation Services.
