Since 1998, the FAU community has generously supported the annual Holiday Giving Tree Project, which collects and delivers gifts to economically disadvantaged children in our area. This year FAU has the distinction of seeking gift sponsors for 225 children — the most in Palm Beach County. You can become a sponsor by visiting the Holiday Giving Tree table in the Breezeway on the Boca Raton campus between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. any Wednesday or by contacting Jose Herrera at [email protected].

When you become a Holiday Giving Tree sponsor you are responsible for purchasing and delivering an unwrapped, age-appropriate gift to the Weppner Center for Civic Engagement and Service in room 226A of the Student Services Building (second floor over the Breezeway Cafeteria on the Boca Raton campus). Faculty and staff members can call the “Elf Hotline” to request that someone pick up the gifts at their offices. The deadline to turn in all gifts is Dec. 10.
