The Miami Hurricanes beat the Owls Saturday night in a three-set sweep. FAU lost the first two sets 25-15 and 25-18 before making a short comeback in the third set, only to fall 25-18 in the end.
The Owls (7-4) lead 4-1 at the start of the their match before Miami (12-0) took back the lead at 13-9. The Owls later pulled within one point at 18-17, but the Hurricanes came back strong with a 8-1 run to end the match.
The Owls host Troy at 7 p.m. this Friday, Sept. 26, at the FAU Arena on the Boca campus.
