BEST SHOW TO GET YOUR FIX OF DOCTOR DRAMA

This doctor drama might be losing a bit of steam: There is less death and fewer tear-jerking scenes. The last episode of “Hopkins” seems to have changed its pace.

The highlight of this episode was watching the three-way kidney transplant surgery. A wife needed a kidney transplant and the husband wasn’t a proper match. They teamed up with two other couples who were in the same situation. Each person had a match, and they all swapped kidneys – oddly romantic.

Like the other transplant surgeries, “Hopkins” fully shows the entire scene, even when the patient’s new kidney produces urine for the first time – not so romantic.

But true to keeping the series realistic, there was a more sad and emotional scene when a child, who collapsed while playing basketball, died in the ER.

“Hopkins” airs on ABC Thursdays at 10 p.m.
