DiIvory Edgecomb shared starting duties at running back in the 2005 season. He played all 11 games, gaining 295 yards on 89 carries and one touchdown. Edgecomb had the best rushing game of the season against North Texas with 118 yards rushing and was the only Owl to score at Minnesota in 2005. He also plays kick returner and ended 2005 with 544 all-purpose yards. Edgecomb is so versatile because of his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. In 2005, he had 11 receptions for 114 yards and two touchdowns. In 2004, Edgecomb practiced as a red shirt in both the spring and fall. Expect him to share time with Charles Pierre at running back. With a vastly improved offensive line, DiIvory Edgecomb should have a breakout season and build a tradition of winning for the next three years.
