The University Patron Freshman Scholarship – A one-year award offered to incoming freshmen theatre majors who meet the stated requirements. Applicants must also submit two letters of recommendation from high school drama or English teachers attesting to the student’s academic and performance qualifications.

The Harold Burris-Meyer Scholarship in Design/Technical Theatre – Available to newly entering B.F.A. Design/Technical majors who have graduated from a Florida community college prior to enrollment in the fall semester at FAU. Selection is based on academic performance and full-time enrollment at FAU. Interested students must submit transcripts, and two letters of recommendation attesting to the student’s proficiency in Design/Technical Theatre.

The Esther Boyer Griswold University Scholarship – Available to either current or incoming undergraduates who show potential in theatre arts. The award is granted by audition and is renewable for each year the student is a theatre major at FAU. Applicants must have a 3.0 or better GPA. Those interested must send a resume/portfolio, letter of intent, and, if an incoming student, two letters of recommendation to the Chair of the Department of Theatre. An audition will be scheduled at a later date.

Esther Boyer Griswold Performing Arts Scholarship – A one-time $5,000.00 cash award given by the theatre department every other year to a graduating senior or a student who has just graduated with a B.F.A. degree in theatre from FAU. The applicant must have a 3.25 GPA for the last sixty hours with a 3.0 GPA for all major courses. Interested students must submit a resume/portfolio and a detailed statement concerning plans for use of the award to the Chair of the Department of Theatre at FAU.

Dorst Award – A $500 award given to an outstanding senior art major selected by the faculty.

Laura Magnus Award in Printmaking – A $500 award given to an outstanding student concentrating in printmaking.

John McCoy Ceramics Award – Given to outstanding students concentrating in ceramics

Pen Women Awards – Given to women students in the Fine Arts and juried by representatives of The Pen Women’s group, who interview final candidates.

Women in the Visual Arts – Given to women students in the fine arts and juried by representatives of the Women in the Visual Arts who interview final candidates. The Delray Art League Award – A $500 award given to an outstanding Fine Arts major as selected by faculty.

The Palm Beach Water Color Society Award – A $500 award given to an outstanding Fine Arts major as selected by faculty.

Helene C. Alter Memorial Scholarship – This scholarship assists students studying classical music and is awarded to one degree-seeking student each year. The scholarship is based on merit and requires an audition.

Maestro Mark Azzolina Scholarship – This scholarship provides funds to music students based on talent and financial need. Preference is given to Florida students.

Eugene N. Crabb Scholarship – An annual scholarship is awarded through the Department of Music to undergraduate and graduate students studying any instrument.

Mrs. Charles A. “Binny” Foster Scholarship in Music – This scholarship provides annual scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students studying any instrument in the Department of Music.

Greenwall Scholarship – This scholarship provides funds for students studying classical music.

Esther B. Griswold Music Scholarship – The fund provides annual scholarships to be awarded to undergraduate and graduate music students studying any instrument.

Esther B. Griswold Performing Arts Scholarship – This scholarship is an award given in alternating years by the music and theatre departments to a graduating Bachelor of Music or Bachelor of Fine Arts student who has completed 60 credit hours at FAU and has a 3.25 GPA for all major courses.

Herman Joachim Music Award – This scholarship is awarded to music students.

H.C. Kersten Florida Grand Opera Scholarship – The scholarship is awarded to undergraduate or graduate students studying any instrument. Preference is given to voice students from Broward County.

Fiona McCleary Piano Scholarship – The award is available to qualified undergraduate and graduate students studying piano.

Raul Spivak Memorial Scholarship – The funds provide awards for undergraduate or graduate students studying the piano.
