Entering their third season as a club sport on the FAU Boca Raton Campus, The Men’s Ice Hockey team has already had great success. I talked with President Lawrence “Beau” Lavender on the phone Thursday afternoon, and he said that the team is excited about the new coach. “Our new coach has won NCAA Championships before and is ready to bring the FAU Ice Hockey team new leadership, a competitive edge, and hopefully a Division III Championship.”
The team also has their annual golf tournament fundraiser coming up. It will be held on September 25th at Boca Lago Country Club. For more information on the tournament, email the team at: [email protected].

The FAU Ice Hockey Club is starting training camp on August 25th, please email for information. All FAU students are welcome to try-out, must wear full protective equipment. This season we will be competing against schools like University of Colorado, University of Wyoming, Tulane University, Georgia Tech, Middle TN State, USF, FSU, UF, and many more!! We have a new Coach and GM and are expected to compete for a shot at nationals in the American College Hockey Association-Division III.
