Every couple of weeks or so i recieve an e-mail from the esteemed “University Press”. I am so sick of reading your so-called “Sports section” and seeing what a bunch of know-nothings wrote. The latest i just read was comparing FAU football to the likes of Penn State and Notre Dame, and the comparison of tradition between Fau and those schools. Do these writers know anything about tradition and football, or sports in general? Instead of politely making fun of FAU and their dismal crowds maybe there should be a focus on starting a new tradition here and not making lofty and ludicrous comparisons to some of the countries oldest and greatest college football teams. Where is the support? Talk about how Coach Schnell took this team to possibly the fastest I-AA postseason berth in ncaa HISTORY!! Don’t sit there and badmouth your own team and school, no wonder tradition can never get started around here, with negativity in the form of Chris Perry; who wants to even try when it is so much easier to bash and make fun of our “tradition”.
