The Nutty Professors

They lecture you, assign homework and grade your tests. Who would have thought that your professors are also artists in their own right, capable of creating such compelling work?

The 2003 Biennial Faculty Exhibition showcases the art of twenty-two professors from the Boca Raton, Tower, Davie and Jupiter campuses. These artists work in various media, creating pieces as diverse as a wall of lead tongues and photographs depicting a snake-skinned African deity.

Not only is the artwork diverse, so too are the artists. The professors come from various disciplines, such as film, sculpture, architecture and more.

Featured here is a selection of the artists’ creations and what they have to say about it.

For a more in-depth look go see for yourself at both the Ritter and Schmidt galleries on the Boca Raton campus.
