Clark’s pick:Troy State 75-67 Troy State will hold off a late FAU run and win by seven or eight points. TSU forward Rob Lewin will get a lot of rebounds and points, while guard Ben Fletcher will put up a lot of points. Big nights by Earnest Crumbley and Jeff Cowans won’t be enough for FAU.
Koretzky’s pick:As I write this, Troy State is 8-3, with its most recent losses to major programs like Georgia Tech and Auburn. FAU is 4-7, with its most impressive victory over Miami on Dec. 3 — and four straight losses since then to schools like Liberty and James Madison. Apparently, the Owls can only get up for intrastate rivals, and Troy State is in Alabama. I predict a double-digit loss on the road.
