Local Band

BIO:

After forming in 1997, Poison the Well, a South Florida Hardcore band, tried to break into the local scene. With the release of their first EP, Distance Makes the Heart Grow Fonder, PTW began touring and establishing themselves as a group. Though they have seen the usual problems of keeping members, finding the time, and most importantly money, Poison the Well made it through the hard part by signing to Trustkill records. After all the troubles, PTW, made up of Derek, Chris, Ryan, and Jeffrey, finally stabilized their situation. With the release of their second album, The Opposite of December, and finding a home with Trustkill, PTW finished High School and began touring and supporting their career full time. After touring for close to two years Poison the Well released their latest CD, Tear From the Red. With this new CD, PTW hopes to continue creating a larger fan base for themselves as they wrap up their latest tour in New Jersey, at the Asbury Park Surf and Skate Festival.

SOUND:

With a mixing of Hardcore, Melodic Guitars, and Emo, Poison the Well has tried to create a unique sound. Describing their music as noise-core emo, PTW has been successful with their creativity and become a common name in the South Florida Punk Scene.. The energy on stage, and in the music shows and keeps fans waiting for more. With three very different albums under their belt, it will be interesting to see what they come out with next.
