At approximately 2:15 a.m. on Oct. 8, students in Glades Park Tower were evacuated due to a fire on the first floor of the south tower, and one male student was arrested.
Resident assistants declined to comment.
Emergency vehicles left the scene at shortly after 2:46 a.m, and students were permitted to return to the dorms at 2:48 a.m.
“I’m pissed, I have a paper due, and if my battery dies, I’m gonna be pissed,” stated freshman Diane Laird, whose major is undecided.
Glades Park Tower is home to 602 students, according to FAU’s website.
