If you are looking for a casual restaurant with friendly service, look no further. Buffalo’s Southwest Café offers a laid-back atmosphere with quick service and a knowledgeable staff.
The restaurants decor resembles a Mexican cantina with tin walls, hardwood floors, and saloon style doors. Each booth tells a story of the old west with black and white pictures of wanted outlaws, Indians, and sheriffs. Dozens of flatscreen televisions line the walls and are always showing the latest sporting event from football to poker.
The rustic café is located off the Sawgrass Expressway and Coral Ridge Drive in Coral Springs. The menu is full of inexpensive entrées with a wide variety of southwest-flavored items.
I recommend trying their buffalo wings ($6.99), which come in an assortment of flavors including honey garlic, red-hot ranch, and Death Valley. Another suggestion is Juanita’s Fajita Salad ($7.99) – fresh mixed greens topped with salsa, cheese, grilled chicken or steak, and black beans served in a crispy tortilla shell.
Save room for dessert because Buffalo’s offers a tempting menu of sweets. Try the famous buffalo chip ($2.99) – a fresh-out-of-the-oven chocolate chip cookie with a heaping scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled with warm chocolate sauce.
Buffalo’s offers 39-cent wings on Tuesdays from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Buffalo’s is located in the Shoppes at Heron Lakes. 5761 Coral Ride Drive, Coral Springs, Fla. 954-757-4500
