Head coach Lane Kiffin confirmed Thursday at a press conference that former FSU quarterback Deandre Francois will not be transferring to FAU, despite announcing in May he would.

Francois, who was dismissed from Florida State in February after a domestic violence allegation, is reportedly heading to play for the Alabama State Hornets.

Kiffin has other choices lined up for the position. Currently, the Owls have Indiana transfer Nick Tronti and Justin Agner competing while they still have redshirt freshman Cordel Littlejohn and incoming freshman Javion Posey.

Last season starting quarterback Chris Robison was reinstated to participate in football activities in June after he was suspended due to sexual battery accusations.
