Students and faculty at FAU received a text message at 11 a.m. this morning warning of police activity near the Jupiter campus, but the situation has since been cleared.

Around 9:30 a.m., Jupiter police responded to a “suspicious incident” call near the campus, according to Jupiter Police Department Public Information Officer O’Neil Anderson. They believe it might have been a residence burglary, but that is not yet confirmed, he said. Two suspects are currently in custody.

“Investigators are working to figure out exactly what we had this morning, but the community and the campus is safe,” Anderson said.
