Boca Raton Police arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with the shooting death of FAU student Nicholas Acosta, according to a Boca Police news release.

Adonis Gillis, of Miami Gardens, was arrested on Feb. 24 at 10:30 a.m. with the assistance of U.S Marshals.

He is facing charges of first-degree murder and robbery with a firearm, police said.

Adonis Gillis joins his cousin Alexander Gillis, Donovan Henry and Rodrick Woods, all previously arrested after the shooting death of 19-year-old FAU student Acosta at the University Park housing complex on Dec. 29.

Acosta’s shooting stemmed from an apparent drug deal set up by Henry, an arrest affidavit for Henry states.

Police were called to the housing complex at 7:20 p.m. and found Acosta with several gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead later that day.

Adonis Gillis is currently being held at Palm Beach County’s main detention center without bail, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

As stated by police, there is still a fifth person at large in connection to the case.
