Women’s History Month lectures run through mid-April

To recognize Women’s History Month, FAU is hosting a series of lectures, discussions and a symposium. The Women’s Study Center in the Dorothy Schmidt College of Arts and Letters organized the free events.

There are two events left this month. The first one, “The White Sex: Race and Masculinity in Andean Horror Stories,” is on Thursday, April 8 from noon to 1 p.m. The presenter will be Mary Weismantel from Northwestern University’s department of Linguistics. The lecture will be in the Board of Trustees Room in the Administration Building.

Katerina Liskova from New School University presents the second event, entitled “Feminist Contentions on Representations of Sexuality: A Sociological Account,” on Thursday, April 15 from 2 to 3 p.m. The event will take place at the Live Oak Pavilion near the University Center.
