The main presenters will be Dr. Jean Watson and Dr. Mary Rockwood Lane who are experts in the fields of arts and healing. The conference will focus on aesthetics in health care, knowledge of development and clinical applications of the arts as healing modalities.
Watson holds an endowed chair in caring science at the University of Colorado Health Science Center. Lane is the co-founder of the Arts in Medicine program at the University of Florida.
The conference is sponsored by the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing and the Bethesda Healthcare System. The two-day event, starting Saturday, April 17 till Sunday April 8, will be held at the Live Oak Pavilion. Registration is required in order to attend.
