Students for Israel — Students for Israel is a club that comes together once a week every Wednesday in the Sago Palm Room at 5pm to talk about what’s been going on in Israel in a fun and engaging way. For more information, go to www.students4israel.org.

Clothing Drive — The Student Nurses Association is holding a Spring Cleaning Drive January 20th – March 5th. Please bring any clean, quality used clothing and accessories to SO206 (College of Nursing office). We will be donating the clothing to local needy organizations. Hiking — Outdoor enthusiasts will have the opportunity to walk the trails of Pine Jog with an experienced naturalist the first Saturday of each month 9 to 11 am. Every month participants will learn something new about our natural world. Participants will find out which plants early pioneers used, go on scavenger hunts, learn how to track animal signs, and learn about nature with sensory awareness activities. The monthly strolls will include the study of concepts such as food chains, energy flow, water cycles and more. Pre-registration is recommended, please call Jennie at 561-686-6600. Cost will be $5 for adults and $3 for children. Pine Jog provides award-winning environmental education programs for children and adults, from elementary school to the graduate level. Catholic Newman Club — The Catholic Newman Club holds several events weekly. Scripture Sharing with Sister Nancy every Monday 1 to 2 pm in the UCM room. A free lunch is provided. The Rosary by the Lake is held every Monday at 6 pm. Those interested in the Catholic faith, social issues, or just want to hang out may wish to meet Joe at Joe’s Corner every Wednesday 12:30 pm across from the famous coffee man in the breezeway. There is a Newman Fellowship every Wednesday in GCS 116 at 5:30 pm. The FAU Catholic Newman Club Choir holds practice before Mass every Sunday at 4 pm in the UC Majestic Palm Room. Bible Study — Anointed Vision will be having bible study at 7 pm in the Palmetto Palm room, every Thursday night.

Blue & White Day — Students for Israel will be hosting their 4th Blue & White day Wednesday January 21st at the Free Speech Lawn from 10 am till 2 pm. Blue & White is a day of Israel awareness on campus. It’s designed to engage the entire campus community with free Israeli food, Israeli music, dancing and information about Israel. ASCE 2004 Southeast Regional Conference — The American Society of Civil Engineers welcomes all engineering students to join them at the 2004 Southeast Regional Conference from March 18-20th, in Tampa, FL. The invitation is open to all Engineering students, who will have the opportunity to interact with Engineering students from 22 other schools from the Southeast and participate in 13 competitions which test engineering knowledge. Dr. Hechler’s distinguished public career includes service as Special Assistant to President Harry Truman, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives (1959-1977), West Virginia’s Secretary of State (1985-2001), best-selling author, and a professor at Princeton. A longtime aide to President Ronald Reagan dating from his appointment as Director of Research & Issues for Reagan’s 1976 presidential campaign, Hannaford is the author of numerous books on Reagan and is Senior Counselor at APCO Worldwide.
