A strong effort from guard Myka Johnson Matthews was not enough for the Owls against Marshall last night, as they fell, 72-67.

The Player of the Game for FAU, Johnson Matthews led all scorers with 17 points. She also grabbed four boards, three steals and an assist on the night.

Guard Glenisha Harkless contributed across the board with nine points, four rebounds, two steals and a career-high six assists.

The Owls (3-15, 0-5 Conference USA) hope to end their 10-game losing skid and secure their first conference win this Saturday at home against Western Kentucky. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
