When Program Board hosted its first ever “Bacon Day” on Valentine’s Day, it also announced the artists who will perform at its spring music festival.

“The Voice” star Matthew Schuler, Youtube star JamieBoy, “American Idol” contestant Haeley Vaughn, DJ A-Roy, and Grammy-nominated country star Hunter Hayes will visit the Boca campus March 16 for the Fly On Music Fest.

“We make sure we have a good concert that works for all students and that can work with the budget we have,” Program Board member Alvaro Sanchez said.

As students heard the lineup, there was minimal cheer from the crowd. Some were confused on who the artists were.

“I’m not too much of a fan but I probably would not go,” senior communication major Hunter Synder said.

Some students gave their suggestions to improve the spring festival.

“I don’t like the idea because it doesn’t seem diverse enough for everybody,” sophomore business major Demetria Harden said.

Last year, the lineup featured rappers D.R.A.M. and Waka Flocka Flame.

The Fly On Music Fest will be free for FAU students with a valid Owl Card and $20 for the general public. The festival will be held in the Student Union auditorium.

Tickets are now being sold at the Student Union Box Office.
