Florida Atlantic women’s basketball has fired head coach Kellie Lewis-Jay after a 4-25 season, the school announced on Monday. The Owls went 73-103 during her five years in charge.

FAU finished the 2016-17 season with a 19-game losing streak. FAU also went 0-18 in conference play and 0-13 away from Boca Raton during the season.

“Kellie, her staff and her teams have represented Florida Atlantic University exceptionally well in the classroom and in the community,” Athletic Director Patrick Chun said. “We thank her for her five years of service leading our women’s basketball program.”

Lewis-Jay came to FAU prior to the 2012-13 season after serving as an assistant coach at the University of Nebraska and Washington University.

The school said that it is not planning on using an interim coach before the new official head coach is hired.
