Go ahead and psychoanalyze
Happen to be a psych major who’s always trying to pick people’s brains (both left and right)? Want to meet others like yourself and learn about research opportunities? If you’re free between 5 and 6 p.m., come to the FAU Psychology Club meeting on Aug. 17 in the Sugar Palm Room on the Boca campus. Don’t second guess accepting the invite, just come. For info, contact Rachel Konnertu at [email protected].
Be a mentor
Remember how disoriented your freshman self was in the beginning, not just with the campus but with the overall college experience? Now’s your chance to help an international student adjust to FAU! Become an international mentor and pass down your pearls of knowledge. For more info on the application process, contact Dr. Mihaela Metianu at [email protected].
School supplies needed
Remember that long list of school supplies you had to buy in elementary school? Finish the summer with a giving streak by donating school supplies such as notebook paper, calculators, and pens to the School Supply Drive for students who can’t afford them. Donations can be dropped off until Sept. 17. The drop-off locations are as follows: on the Boca campus, the College of Education’s Office for Academic and Student Services (room 230) and the FAU Bookstore; on the Davie campus, the College of Education’s Office for Academic and Student Services (room 202); and on the Jupiter campus, the College of Education’s second-floor reception area. Maybe the good karma will trickle down into academic luck needed later on. For more info, call (954) 667-9592.

No worries — it probably won’t be too much like Jaws. For more info, visit events.pbpulse.com.
