FAU Police Searching for Man Wanted for Questioning

FAU Police are asking for your help in finding a Hispanic male wanted for questioning regarding assaults on two women on the Boca campus.

At 5:55 p.m. on Jan. 8, the university sent out an FAU e-mail alerting the community about the incident. He is described as being in his mid-20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighing 180-200 pounds. He is also said to have very short dark hair and a clean-shaven face.
“He is wearing a dark color short-sleeve shirt with thin vertical and horizontal stripes, blue jeans, a dark colored ball cap, and a backpack,” said the e-mail alert sent to students.
“We have video surveillance camera of the male on the Breezeway,” Police Chief Charles Lowe said.

The two alleged assaults occurred Thursday afternoon on the Boca Raton campus. The first incident occurred when the male approached a female student in parking lot 16, located between the Student Services building and the Student Union.

The second incident of assault on a female occurred in parking lot 19, located outside the library.

Police are asking the community if they have been approached by the male, know of his whereabouts or any other information about this incident.

Please call FAU Police at (561) 297-3500, dial 911 from a campus telephone or use a campus emergency telephone.
