If you are looking for a good home-cooked meal without the forced family fun, Maggiano’s Little Italy offers home-style Italian entrees, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere.

Black-and-white photos are hung sporadically throughout the restaurant and each table is set with a red-and-white tablecloth. The menu is filled with fresh salads, homemade pastas, and delicious desserts. The full bar serves up classic cocktails and signature drinks. One recommendation is the Peach Bellini-a blend of champagne and peach schnapps, served frozen in a martini glass.

The family-style portions are great for large parties and there is plenty on the menu to choose from. Each entree is enough for at least two people and sharing is a great way to taste a little of everything. If you are dining with a party of five or more, one recommendation is ordering from the family-style dinner menu. It is a little pricey but you definitely get your money’s worth plus dessert. The family dinner menu starts at $26.00 per person and you get to choose two from each category, which includes appetizers, salads, sides, pastas, entrees, and desserts.

If you are dining with less than five try ordering from their regular dinner menu; prices are moderate and the portions are still big enough to share.

You cannot leave without dessert. End your meal with one of their specialty desserts or order from their dessert menu. Try the Apple Crostada with caramel sauce: Warm apple filling of Granny Smith apples, sugar, butter, nutmeg, and cinnamon, baked in a pastry crust dipped in cream and crystallized sugar, served with caramel sauce and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.
