Meet the Boca campus Breezeway – the I-95 of the Boca campus. This long, open hallway cutting across the campus from north to south is one of the main arteries of FAU, in which you’ll end up spending most of your time during freshman year.
Along this interstate you will find anything from Starbucks to the General Classroom North. You will gain your freshman 15 at the food court, check your account balances at the BankAtlantic, and buy some magazines at the bookstore.
Let’s not forget that this is also a place to study. If you like the outdoors, you can always sit down at the new Traditions Plaza. Located in front of the bookstore, it’s a great spot to study on a sunny Florida day or you can always keep on walking along the Breezeway and study at the 24-hour study lounge.
Either way, the Breezeway is where you’ll find everything, where you’ll make friends, spend some money, and gain some weight… And, of course, go to class.
Student Union
Play pool, win a game of foosball, and relax on the big red couches. Get a snack at the Outtakes, get free Scantrons at the Student Government office or even visit us, the University Press, in room 214.
Library
Take a nap on the ultimately quiet fourth floor or check your Facebook account online the first floor computers. Rent a movie or borrow a book and if you need to, make a photocopy.
Bookstore
Get everything from books and Scantrons to Cheetos and a drink. Get a sweater if you’re cold or a fluffy stuffed owl to put on your bed.
Breezeway
Beware of rush hour. Usually ranging from noon to 1, this place can get packed and it’s almost impossible to walk through it. Take another route and avoid traffic.
General Classroom South
Easy building to find, but it’s practically impossible to get onto the second floor. There are no elevators or stairs from the inside. Take the stairs that lead off the Breezeway across from the front doors of GS or go to the other side of the building and take the stairs or elevator in the back. You can’t get to the second floor unless you’re on the outside.
