The season finale of Desperate Housewives had everything you expected: Every answer to the Katherine/Dylan mystery, gunfire and a fight between gay lovers. But viewers also got a surprise and confusing flash-forward into upcoming storylines.
This flash-forward didn’t give any major insight into Gabby, Bree or Lynette’s life, but it did reveal a lot about Susan’s future life – and surprise – it might not include Mike. I thought the Susan/Mike drama was finally over, but it looks like viewers might have to endure a few more seasons of it.
Tom is still coming to terms with his psycho daughter, who now has to live four hours away because she couldn’t get along with the rest of the family. And by “rest of the family,” I of course mean Lynette.
In true Desperate fashion, the Katherine/Dylan mystery was unexpected and impossible to predict. But unlike many of the murder mystery characters of the past who disappeared immediately after their mystery was solved, Paul Young, the Applewhites, and Felicia Tilman will stick around for years to come.
