FAU’s Zeta Iota chapter of Lambda Pi Eta (National Communication Honor Society) would like to invite all FAU students and faculty to attend the 2nd annual South Florida Undergraduate Communication Honors Conference.
The conference will take place this Saturday, March 29, 2008 in the Live Oak Pavilion of the UC (Boca Campus) and will feature presentations by students from various universities including FAU, University of Florida, St. Thomas University and Lynn University.
Presentations have been divided into six sessions by subject area and range in topics from “Feminism,” to “Propaganda” to “Pop Culture.” All sessions are free and open to the public. A midday awards luncheon will take place in the Grand Palm Room (Student Union) and feature a keynote address by Dr. Shara Pavlow, Director of the Community Conversations Corps. A luncheon ticket is $20.
Registration for conference participants will run from 9 to 10 a.m. and feature an information presentation by Gregory Gayle, FAU Coordinator of Graduate Recruitment. Sessions will run from 10 a.m. till 4:30 p.m. with a break for the luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
