Go Eat a TortoiseOk, you might not be able to actually eat a tortoise, shark or any other Galapagos creatures at this event, but at least you can look at some great prints taken by renowned photographer Candace O. Childrey and enjoy some light human-food refreshments. The event will run through Oct. 19 at the John D. MacArthur campus in the SR Atrium. The event will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is free to students and the public. Lens Match to the DeathCalling all photographers: See if you have what it takes! At the “FAU Students Photograph the World” Exhibition, you can check out various topics and prints from fellow students, whose work will speak for itself. An opening reception on Sept. 28 will serve refreshments. The photography will be showcased at Studio 728 in Fort Lauderdale at the Reubin O’D Askew Tower until Oct. 12.
