FAU is encouraging students, faculty and staff are to take part in the “festivities” this week. September has been designated Safety Month. Events, food included, will be held on all University campuses. The events will be packed with information displays, and other interactive activities to cover safety topics like, date rape, alcohol/drug abuse, fire prevention, CPR, defensive driving, and hurricane preparedness.Useful and informative to all, the highlight seems to be American Heart Association “Lunch and Learn” at the Jupiter campus on September 11 from Noon to 1 p.m. So if you think you could bone up on your date rape prevention skills, or you’re just really hungry, Safety week on your campus, is the place to be. The Safety Month schedule for other campuses:‡ Jupiter Campus- September 10-14‡ Broward campus – week of September 17‡ Treasure Coast campus – week of September 24
