The phenomenon known as Harry Potter is hitting the world once again – but this time even harder. Over 1.6 million copies of the final book, “Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows,” are already sold through pre-sales.
Books one through six sold over 325 million copies worldwide; this makes author J.K. Rowling the first “dollar-billionaire author.”
In an interview with Yahoo!, Rowling revealed she broke down in tears during the completion of her final book. “I was sobbing my heart out — I downed half a bottle of champagne from the mini bar in one and went home with mascara all over my face. That was really tough.”
“She [also] changed the last word in ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ at the eleventh hour,” Yahoo! stated on its website.
“I will go through a mourning period, then I will have to think of something else to write,” Rowling told BBC News.
Whatever happens in the end, it is Harry Potter mania and it is full throttle. But no matter what, it will get even worse starting on Tuesday with the release of the movie.
