The Fort Lauderdale and Davie FAU campuses closed on Friday morning due to a written security threat on a Broward Community College (BCC). FAU shares both locations with BCC.
According to FAU’s homepage, there were no direct threats toward the FAU campuses, but due to a “security precaution.” And the security threat on the BCC campuses is currently being investigated by law enforcement.
Finals that were taking place during the threat were postponed until further notice. The campuses are expected to reopen on Monday.
