The quintet from Ohio will be following up their fifth album release, Five Score and Seven Years Ago, by dropping into South Florida this Tuesday.
The playful Christian Rock band recently released the single “Must Have Don’t Something Right,” which is a great example of the pure joy the band illustrates. The music video for this track surrounds lead singer, Matt Thiessen, chasing a soccer ball around the city, to prove how much he cares for his girlfriend. This shows the lengths that they will go to, so that they can achieve their goal: to provide a positive uplifting message.
Relient K had numerous hits with their previous album, Mmhmm, on MTV including “Who I Am Hates Who I’ve Been” and “Be My Escape.”
Opening for the band with the catchy melodies will be the rock bands Sherwood and Mae. The Capitol Records recording act, Mae, is most well known for their album, The Everglow, and will be releasing their new CD, Singularity, on August 14.
Relient K will certainly deliver a fun filled show full of laughs and giddy teenagers dancing who will try to start a mosh pit at a Christian concert.

Heartthrob Ricky Martin has been in the lime light for over 20 years, starting with the Latin American group, Meundo, then going solo and making his mark all over the world. This Grammy winner that was “”Livin’ La Vida Loca” in the late 90’s, who sold over 55 million albums, will be coming to South Florida next Saturday to promote his Spanish Album, MTV Unplugged Album(Ricky Martin).
Even with all his success, Martin still manages to find time to give back. He started the Ricky Martin Foundation, which promotes the well being of children around the globe and to also be a beacon of children’s rights. Martin is also the Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF.
Martin not only helps his fellow man, he has had numerous number one hits all around the world. Unfortunately, there was one attempt at a hit that was quite out of the ordinary. In 2005, Martin released a song titled, “I Don’t Care,” with Rapper Fat Joe and Amerie, which is a complete turn-around from his usually seductive music.
Whether it’s his transcending vocals, the way his body moves when he feels the music or the fact that he gives back to society – there is no doubt that Martin will deliver a fantastic show even in this giant arena.
