Quilters’ CornerInterested in quilting or learning how? Whether you are a novice or an expert, join the Boynton Beach City Library Quilters who meet at the library every Thursday, except holidays, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Quilters were formed to share quilting information and education and to perpetuate quilting as a cultural and artistic form. The quilting activities also create a social group with similar interests.

This scholarship is to help offset the costs of getting a good education from a solid higher-learning institution. People want to go to college for many reasons, including learning a career, advancing their existing career and sometimes just for the enjoyment of learning something new. Whatever your reason, tell us about it. There are application deadlines for each scholarship period. At the end of each scholarship application period, members of the Flipnut Innovations staff will review each application and vote on the winner. This winner will be announced shortly after the deadline period expires. He/She will be notified via e-mail and an e-mail blast will be sent out to all applicants with information about the winner. National Society of Accountants ScholarshipThe NSA awards $500, $1,000 or $2,000 to selected recipients. To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate majoring in accounting, have a 3.0 or higher GPA and be a United States citizen enrolled part-time or full-time in an accredited four-year college or university. Imagine America-Military Award Program This program has been established to assist thousands of military personnel each year to pursue postsecondary career education at hundreds of career colleges across the nation. The MAP recognizes the important contributions of our nation’s armed services.
Art ScholarshipsScholarships of $1,000 each are available for students of figurative or representational sculpture. Scholarships are paid directly to the academic institution through which the student applies. The submission deadline is May 31 every year. A letter of application from the student, including a brief biography and an explanation of the student’s background in sculpture is needed, as are two letters of recommendation and 8 to 10 images of work by the applicant on CD. It is strongly suggested that at least three works are shown with more than one view of each. If you want your materials returned, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope. Proof of financial need required. This can be in the form of photocopies of other scholarship/grant applications, photocopies of tax forms from previous years, and/or a signed letter from the financial aid office of the applicant’s school. National Law Enforcement & Firefighters Children’s Foundation The National Law Enforcement and Firefighters Children’s Foundation Scholarship Awards are for children of law enforcement and fire fighting personnel who were lost in the line of duty. These awards are designed to reward excellence, recognize accomplishments and help students by providing funding for their postsecondary education at qualified institutions.
Ford Foundation Pre-doctoral Fellowships For Minorities To increase the presence of underrepresented minorities on the nation’s college and university faculties, to enhance diversity on campuses, and to address the persisting effects of past discrimination, the Ford Foundation offers pre-doctoral fellowships to members of six minority groups-Alaska Natives; Black/African-Americans; Mexican-Americans/Chicanas/Chicanos; Native American Indians; Native Pacific Islanders; and Puerto Ricans-whose under representation in the professoriate has been severe and long-standing. The fellowship program identifies individuals with demonstrated ability and provides them the opportunity to engage in graduate study leading to a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Doctor of Science (Sc.D.) There will be a Fashion Show showcasing traditional outfits from other nations. The Sundance Festival was created to celebrate our diversity and expose each other to new and unique traditions. Student Government will be raffling prizes, handing out giveaways and much more!!!
This will also be an opportunity for students to meet the new Vice President of Student Affairs, Dr. Charles Brown, and their Student Government Representatives.
