FAU AuctionThursday, October 12 at 8 a.m., equipment and property will be up for auction at Building T-6 on the Boca Raton campus. Inspection/registration will begin at 8 a.m., and the auction will start at 9 a.m. Vans, golf carts, bicycles, jewelry, flash drives, books, phones and other items will be auctioned off.

Career DayCareer Day will be October 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the gym on the Boca campus.

BankAtlantic Monthly Scholarship A $200 scholarship will be awarded to eligible students for the month.

Spencer Foundation Dissertation FellowshipsThe Spencer Foundation aims to support a new generation of scholars from a wide range of fields.

Broward Shell Club ScholarshipThis scholarship is available for students majoring in marine biology locally. The student’s coursework should include some aspect of malacology. The applicant will be requested to make a presentation about their research and how the award assisted them.

Scholarships for Students from the Middle East, Hong Kong, Saudi ArabiaThe Karim Rida Said Foundation provides scholarships for master’s degree study in the UK to Iraqi, Jordanian, Lebanese, Palestinian and Syrian students. You must meet some requirements. Application deadlines vary.

National Law Enforcement & Firefighters Children’s Foundation The Scholarship Awards are for children of law enforcement and firefighting personnel lost in the line of duty.

Ford Foundation Pre-Doctoral Fellowships For Minorities The Ford Foundation offers pre-doctoral fellowships to members of six minority groups: Alaska Natives, Black/African Americans, Mexican Americans/Chicanas/Chicanos, Native American Indians, Native Pacific Islanders and Puerto Ricans.
