I like being a nondenominational Christian. Religions appear to be so confusing. When I take a look around, I see all these churches that teach different principles. If I were a person who just found God and wanted to seek a new religion, I wouldn’t know which church was right for me. Jesus prayed for unity among believers. But most people think that if you are a member of a church, then you must be a member of a denomination.
This isn’t true. You can be a Christian without being a member of a denomination. Nondenominational Christians are on the rise, at 55% of U.S. households. A nondenominational church accepts everyone for who they are.
You can be a good Christian, nothing more or less, by obeying the gospel of Jesus Christ through faith. Just like in any other church, faith, love and respect are the values that are taught in a nondenominational church.
One of the most important values that my pastor has taught me is to walk by faith and not by sight. In today’s society, media has turned our world into a fashion frenzy.
People have become so hyped on material possession that they are forgetting who they are. Walking by faith gives you a peace of mind that diminishes the worries that you have no control over. God has your life in his hands. Life is about happiness.
