Monday, August 25 — Fall classes begin.
Monday, September 1 — Due to Labor Day, all classes will be canceled.
Tuesday, September 2 — Last day to drop/add courses without consequences, courses are fee liable after this date.
Wednesday, September 3 — Last day to pay all fees, $50 late fee will be imposed to any outstanding bills after this date.
Monday, September 8 — Last day to drop a course without receiving a W.
Friday, September 12 — Last day to submit application for degree (seniors).
Wednesday, September 17 — Last day to drop a course without receiving an F.
Tuesday, November 11 — Due to Veteran’s Day, all classes will be canceled.
Wednesday, November 12 — Advanced registration for the Spring semester begins.
Thursday, November 27 — November 29 – Thanksgiving Break.
Wednesday, December 3 — Reading day, no class.
Friday, December 12 — Last day of Fall classes.
NORTHERN CAMPUSES (JOHN D. MACARTHUR, TREASURE COAST)
Campus Visits/Tours — Information sessions and campus tours are available all semester long. Visitors will meet with admissions staff and tour the campus with a student ambassador. BROWARD CAMPUSES (SEA TECH, COMMERCIAL, DAVIE)
Counseling Services — Psychological counseling services are provided at no charge to the students attending the Broward campuses. The professionally trained staff seeks to assist students with personal concerns and problems. Students receive help dealing with issues such as test anxiety, stress, procrastination, poor assertiveness, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, drug and alcohol abuse, childhood sexual abuse and sexual assault. Couple and family counseling are also available at no charge as long as an enrolled FAU student is an active participant in the sessions. Group counseling and psychological testing services are also provided when appropriate. Counseling at the center is held in strict confidence in keeping with accepted professional practices and Florida statutes. Appointments (Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with some evening hours also available) may be made in person at the Counseling Center located in Modular 38-I on the Davie campus or by calling 954/236-1216.

Library Tours — Take a walking tour of the library and learn where to find periodicals, government documents, the reference collection, children’s literature and more. Learn what’s special about the “Special Collections,” and where the best places are to do computing or to study in silence. Water Polo — The FAU men’s water polo club meets every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6 p.m. at the FAU pool. Newcomers or experienced players are constantly being sought. Hall Wars — The Greek Community of Florida Atlantic University in conjunction with the Department of Housing and Residential Life is proud to introduce Hall Wars, the first-ever residence hall competitive event to take place on campus and feature teams from each residence hall. Stop by to participate in a game of volleyball and tug of war starting at 2 p.m. at Timucua Hall.
Casino Night — Come join us from for a FREE event in the UC Grand Palm Room, featuring the games, the prizes, the entertainment, all the great things Las Vegas can offer you without leaving FAU. Self Defense — The FAU Police Department is offering a twelve-hour practical self-defense training program for women, which also addresses the important issues of awareness, prevention and risk reduction.
