As expected, the Owls’ leap to Conference USA has reaped the benefit of added television coverage.

The C-USA league office announced Tuesday that FAU will have four games televised this upcoming season between the FOX and CSS networks.

The first televised FOX contest will be the conference opener against East Carolina on Thursday, Sept. 5 at 7:30 p.m. FOX is also scheduled to air the 12th annual Shula Bowl home game against rival FIU on Friday, Nov. 29 at 3 p.m.

FOX will broadcast the Owls on either FOX Sports 1 or a regional FOX Sports Network.

CSS, which has carried several FAU games in the past, has picked up the Owls’ Saturday home tilt versus Middle Tennessee on Sept. 21, along with the road game at Southern Miss on Saturday, Nov. 16.

Both of those games’ start times have yet to be determined.

Conference USA already has existing television deals with FOX, CBS, and ESPN, and is expected to air at least 10 more regular season games on FOX’s new cable network, FOX Sports 1, which debuts in August.

The rest of FAU’s schedule, including non-conference matchups, will be finalized at a later date.
