With FAU’s move to Conference USA now official, the upcoming football season’s schedule is starting to fall into place.

According to FAUSports.com, the Owls, housed in C-USA’s eastern division, will square off against Eastern Carolina University, Florida International University, Marshall University, Middle Tennessee State University, University of Southern Mississippi and University of Alabama at Birmingham.

For their home docket, the Owls will play conference foes Middle Tennessee, FIU, Tulane, and Marshall.

FAU holds a 3-8 mark all-time against Middle Tennessee, and a 9-2 all-time record against FIU, their longtime Shula Bowl rivals. They’ve never played Tulane or Marshall.

In their away match-ups, FAU ventures into unfamiliar territory. For the first time in their program’s history, they’ll hit the road to play at Southern Miss. and Eastern Carolina. The Owls also will take on UAB, who they’re 3-1 against all-time.

Capping off the Owls’ 2013 schedule are non-conference contests: at the University of Miami (first meeting), at USF, at Auburn, and home for New Mexico State.

Specific game dates and times are expected to be announced in the coming months.
