Rapper Ludacris cancels his Oct. 15 FAU debut

Although flyers all over campus are touting his concert, Ludacris won’t be rapping his newest singles “Everybody Drunk” and “Sex Room” on Oct. 15 at FAU’s Freaker’s Ball.

Around noon on Tuesday, Sept. 28, Ludacris’ show was canceled because the rapper had post-production obligations for the latest Fast and the Furious movie, according to Alicia Keating, the adviser to FAU’s Program Board.

The concert has been rescheduled to Wednesday, Nov. 10, according to Keating.

As of Tuesday evening, 514 tickets had been sold for the concert, running at $10 for students and $30 for non-students, for a total of $4,645, said Keating, who’s also assistant director for FAU’s Student Involvement and Leadership.

“We’ve sold about 20 tickets to the general public, the rest to students,” she said, citing that the sale was available only to students from mid-August until Sept. 24. “We wanted the opportunity for our tickets to be on sale for a month before anyone else could get them.”

Students that have already purchased tickets can either get a full refund on the ticket or exchange it for a new ticket to the new show.

If you have any questions or want to turn in your tickets, call the box office at (561) 297-3735.
