Several former Owls hoping for their professional football chance did not hear their names called on stage during the 2017 NFL Draft like #103 overall pick and defensive end Trey Hendrickson, but three of them eventually received the phone call they were waiting for.

After coming out on top on two fourth down attempts earlier in the game — a defensive stop and an offensive conversion which led to the game’s first touchdown — Florida Atlantic head coach Charlie Partridge sent his offense back onto the field at the Ball State 30-yard line, leading by three points with 6:10 remaining in the game.

Football: Missed opportunities lead to 33-17 loss against Marshall

Football fell to Marshall 33-17 Saturday afternoon after allowing 500 total yards of offense to the Thundering Herd. The loss is Florida Atlantic’s second in a row and sixth straight at home.

Football: Owls defense shines in 17-7 win against Charlotte

A rainstorm didn’t make it easy for Florida Atlantic to hold onto the football Saturday night, as the team began conference play against the Charlotte 49ers in Charlotte, North Carolina. With help from its defense, the Owls beat Charlotte 17-7, securing their first win of the season.
