Football: Kalib Woods’ absence will be felt

FAU football’s passing game may take a huge dip this upcoming season, as the Owls’ best wideout Kalib Woods has been suspended “indefinitely” after getting arrested last Tuesday for an alleged battery charge.

Facing a three-point deficit with a little under three minutes remaining, Florida Atlantic football found itself 96 yards away from the end zone. Sophomore quarterback Jason Driskel led his team down the field before finding junior wide receiver Nate Terry for a 7-yard touchdown pass to defeat UTEP 35-31.

Football: Florida Atlantic goes down to the wire against Charlotte, but falls short for fifth straight defeat

The Florida Atlantic University Owls looked for just their second win of the season and their first win in the conference against the Charlotte 49ers (2-4, 1-1). Originally scheduled for Saturday, the game was postponed to Sunday afternoon due to weather conditions surrounding South Florida throughout the weekend.

Football: Owls host public practice in Broward County

With the 2015 season in the rear view mirror, Florida Atlantic football has its eyes set toward the future. The team hosted an open practice at Joseph C. Carter Park in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Tuesday, March 22.

Football: Owls defense shines in 17-7 win against Charlotte

A rainstorm didn’t make it easy for Florida Atlantic to hold onto the football Saturday night, as the team began conference play against the Charlotte 49ers in Charlotte, North Carolina. With help from its defense, the Owls beat Charlotte 17-7, securing their first win of the season.
