Baseball: four-run seventh inning leads Miami to victory at FAU

In his first appearance of 2017, sophomore Marc Stewart allowed one run in five innings. But for the third straight game, Florida Atlantic baseball’s bullpen gave up a lead as FAU (4-3-1) fell to the University of Miami 5-2 on Wednesday night.

Baseball: NCAA Regional Tournament Preview

After earning the first Conference USA regular season title in program history before falling short in the postseason conference tournament, Florida Atlantic baseball will return to the diamond on Friday, June 1 to compete in its 12th NCAA Regional Tournament in program history.

Baseball: No. 17 FAU falls to No. 3 Miami

Following a second weather postponement between the two teams this season, No. 17 Florida Atlantic baseball (30-13) traveled to Coral Gables to take on the No. 3 University of Miami Hurricanes on Thursday night. Although FAU won its previous matchup 4-3 against the Hurricanes on April 20, Miami would even the season series at one win apiece following its 5-2 victory over the Owls.

After rain caused the No. 17 ranked Florida Atlantic and No. 1 University of Miami baseball teams to have to wait three weeks later than anticipated to meet for the first time this year, the Owls took home a 4-3 victory.
