Men’s soccer: Joey Worthen hired as new head coach

Florida Atlantic men's soccer announced Tuesday Joey Worthen has been hired as the new head coach, taking over for Kos Donev, who was fired in December 2016 after 30 years with the team.

Men’s Soccer: FAU defeats New Mexico with controversial overtime goal

With seven minutes remaining in the second overtime period, Florida Atlantic junior forward Oliver Powers scored a golden goal to give the Owls a 2-1 win over New Mexico State on Saturday night.

Men’s Soccer: Owls let late goal slip by in loss to South Carolina

With defense being a main benefactor for the majority of the Florida Atlantic and South Carolina men’s soccer game, it was not until the 69th minute that an Owls mistake allowed Gamecocks senior midfielder Danny Deakin to score the lone goal of the game.

Men’s Soccer: Thomas Gallitz goal gives Owls 1-0 victory versus North Florida

Men’s soccer earned their second win of the season Wednesday night against University of North Florida, beating them 1-0. Before the game, the Owls (2-11-2) held their annual Senior Night. Midfielders Ramon Whittaker, Daniel Montoya, Ronald Garcia and defenders Patrick Darby and Michael Quinn all were honored before the game in a ceremony with their families.
